3913TSW 1st time range report

Alright guys, as my first post said I am a new 3913TSW owner, went to the range for us to get acquainted to each other,
One problem right away, mine is the 7 round capacity version and has a factory magazine, 6 rounds load easy, #7 is hard to load AND the mag will not insert fully and lock in, remove #7 and it inserts fully and engages, ok must be me as I am not very familiar with a semi-auto so lets see how it shoots, WOW! do I love this gun, as I mostly shoot a TAURUS 608 .357 snubby this thing is sweet.
Obviously I need to spend a lot of time with this gun before it can become my carry weapon.
Any thoughts on the loading issue I experienced?

If the mag hasn't been used much it may be tight. I have the same gun and loads 7 just fine. Load the mag(s) up...all 7...and let the mags sit loaded out of the gun for a while, maybe a week or two, and you may find them easier to load. As for inserting a full mag it isn't uncommon for some auto's to require a good "smack" to seat a full mag until the mag is broken in a little. My M&P .40c and .357c are great now but were tight at first. This isn't a Smith thing as Glocks and others display similar issues.

The 7th round can be tough to load into the mag and the fully loaded magazine needs to be firmly slapped in to lock. I've also found that to release a loaded magazine it sometimes helps to put pressure on the butt plate.

Problem found! Magazine spring was in backwards, a ex State trooper friend of mine that carried and still does spotted the issue instantly, now it is perfect and headed back to the range again Saturday!
