3914 decocker failure

I have a recently purchased 3914. I replaced the hammer with one belonging to a 5906 model. This resulted in rather intermittent double action fire. On advice from this forum, I have since replaced the drawbar, which took care of the double action issue, the sear, and a side plate which was broken, or broke during disassembly/reassembly.
Now it will not decock. The little bar that decocts the pistol is functional, I can depress it with a screwdriver.
It seems the decocking shaft isn't pressing down on the lever enough.
Any Ideas?

By replacing the sear you have most likely changed the relationship between the sear release lever and the sear. I'm curious as to why you thought it necessary the change the sear in the first place.

I would first try re-installing the original sear then check the decock timing. If the decock is still out of time or inoperative you will need to fit a new sear release lever.

Thank you! That is exactly the kind of knowledge I was seeking here. This place is great. I'll put the old sear back in.

I had the original sear reinstalled. Word good now. thank you for sharing your knowledge.
