I recently bought a 3953 and was curious about the trigger reset. Mine makes a double click as the trigger is released. The first click is around where a TDA would reset for single action. The second is at the end of the trigger's travel arc. I did a search and discovered an older thread that indicated this was normal on the DAO guns.
My question is, can the trigger be worked on to eliminate the first click? I'm used to releasing the trigger until I feel a click and then squeezing the trigger again, but this doesn't work with the 3953. I have other DAO handguns, but none of them have a trigger like this. I'm positive I could get used to it with training, but I'm not sure I want to since it is so different. If I could have the trigger modified to be smooth throughout the travel arc, it would not cause me any problems.
If anyone can enlighten me on this subject, I would be grateful.
