I would like to change out the trigger on my 4566 for the stainless looking flash chromed one and also the hammer to a bobbed chrome one. What part numbers should I be looking for? Thanks.

Call the Performance Center. I just ordered bobbed hammers for my 5906TSW and 4006TSW

3rd gen. parts

I just spoke with the Performance Center and they advised they do not have the bobbed hammers or trigger. Anyone have other suggestions? Thanks.

Try Numrichs.

They show the bobbed hammer in stock - Product # 351650 - $44.50

They show the .304 trigger, but its blue - Product # 361810 - $55.70

They have a toll free order line, may be worth a call - (866)686-7424

Hope this helps! Regards 18DAI

That's funny cause I ordered two bobbed hammers from them on Tuesday for my 4006TSW & 5906TSW

I thought it was strange also but that's what they advised. I will try Numrich. Thanks for the info.

FYI- I just talked to S&W again and got a different gentleman who took the time to research it and advised that one for a 4516 would work by using my original longer hammer stirrup. It is on order but he said they should be in within two weeks. One down and one to go:)

I changed my 4506 MIM hammer to a bobbed "stainless" from a 6906 I picked up cheap from Gunbroker. All I had to do was switch the longer 4506 strut to the 6906 hammer and it was a drop in fit.

Bobbed hammer is serrated on the top, so it's still possible to CAREFULLY cock for a single action shot, by slightly pulling the trigger, then thumbing the hammer back. ( I would STRONGLY suggest practicing this with an UNLOADED weapon, until comfortable, THEN limit LOADED useage to a range or other safe area.)

XCPD69- That sounds great I will start looking for one. Do you think the 6906 trigger would also work?
