Parts Still Being Made

Looks like Midway just got some more 3rd Gen parts back in stock recently. Mag catch nuts for the 908/909/CSx value line guns were in stock (now gone), and I see that they have the one-piece steel 4006 CHP guide rods in stock as well.

As a relative newcomer to S&W autopistols, what can you guys share about spare parts availability and what a guy ought to have on hand to keep a 1st and 2nd gen gun shooting for a while? I have a model 59 and a 659.

I agree with USNPJS that one way or another it will work out. If there is demand, it will be satisfied. I will keep my 3rd Gens, but this is one more reason to love revolvers.
