Quick question, are all 9mm 3rd Gen hammers the same? The reason I ask is if I wanted to replace the small hideaway hammer that came on the 6904 with more of a semi-bobtailed hammer or even a full hammer, would it fit?

Numrich gun parts has a 6906 spurred hammer assembly that I believe will work. You might need to use your old stirup.

The hammers, with a few exception (usually the DAO guns), will usually interchange and they don't necessarily have to be from a 9mm... the same ones are used across the 3rd gen pistol line.

I changed out the spur less hammer in my 4516-1 with a MIM spurred hammer for a 4006... just need to drive out a roll pin to swap the hammer spring stirrup, since the one on a spur hammer is longer.

Thanks for the quick responses. If I wanted to put a spurred hammer on a 6904, would I need the one with or without the half-cock option?

Did this to 2 of my guns. 3913, & 4516. The rule of thumb is mim hammer with mim trigger, & milled hammer with milled trigger. GARY

Great point. Wonder how hard these are to find nowadays...
The one for my 3913 I found here. I put out a WTB, & got a reply right away. $20. A few months later, when I got my 4516, I contacted the seller, but he had no more. I looked on E-Bay but they were all $50+. I was not going to pay that. But eventually I found one on E-Bay [brand new], & got it for $30. Both were stainless milled. GARY
