I picked up a 10-6 in the box. The box got very wet at some point, and the pistol had some rust that cleaned up nicely for the most part. I’m not sure if it had ever been fired. It’s very tight, extremely accurate, and is now my favorite shooter. I’d appreciate the chance to know more about it if someone is willing to help.

The S/N is D607XXX

There are a few marks inside the grip panels.

Also, I saw on Wikipedia that after the 10-6 the gas ring was changed from the yoke to the cylinder. Is that a big deal?

Thanks for the help.

Got a pic of the other side of the gun? This side looks pretty good

Gas ring location went back and forth as to location several times over j the years. No significance for every day use. Nice looking 10-6.
Those frame marks are internal codes relating to manufacture and nothing of significance now.
The serial number is from 1973-1974

Here’s the other side. All the marks and the turn ring on the cylinder are from me.
