I need help from the forum members. Has anyone tried this to see if it works by actually shooting this conversation? I apologize for the long winded question and explanation. I have a 4 inch PC Shield non optic version. I want to make it my concealed carry. I currently carry a 1.0 Shield. My wife does also and we have a spare just in case. I shoot the 4 inch much better. I have swapped the uppers out and everything fits and it dry fires as normal, but just haven’t gotten up enough courage or lack of intelligence to actually fire it that way. Please before anyone starts saying you don’t need a thumb safety all of our Shields except for the 4 inch have thumb safeties and my 1.0 compact does also. Every semi auto I have ever owned or used personally, military and as a police officer had a thumb safety so that is my choice ( don’t mean to sound “snarky “) but have seen how people react about safeties). That being said if this conversion will actually work. I will buy a 2.0 PC or standard shield with thumb safety and use the lower from that to get the benefits of the 2.0 series.
