4006 trigger improvement

I recently picked up a 4006, and for the most part I like it, the trigger however is a little heavier than I would like in SA mode, is there a way to lighten this without too much work on this pistol?, I would like to leave it as stock as possible

you can change the mainspring and trigger return spring,

however if this is a carry or CCW, you might sacrifice reliability with some light hits.

if this is a range piece, brownells sells the springs.

Do not replace the springs with lighter ones - the factory knew more than you or I about spring rates and reliability. You can (carefully) polish bearing surfaces and do a lot of dry-fire (use snap-caps, unless you want to frequently replace broken firing pin springs). This will result in a smooth trigger action that feels lighter than it is without compromising reliability.

After years of research on spring/trigger pulls, I think what MWB said is a good option. Also, when you break down your pistol to the parts where you can polish them, you get to know your pistol better.

thanks guys, yeah I didn't plan on changing springs (been there with the sigma), but wanted to get a feel for what options I have.

You want to leave it "as stock as possible." It is like being pregnant: It is either stock or it is not. The thing is not a target pistol, it is a self-defense pistol. You don't need to do anything to the trigger except shoot it and practice with it. If you want a target pistol, get the Model 41 (by the way, it won't need your help in the trigger department either).
