The take down pin on 4013TSW is extremely hard to remove. I have to pry it to get it started. Is there anything I can do or check to make it easier to remove?

Thanks

Don't pry it. Use a punch or a rounded piece of plastic to push from the other side.

Your problem is probably caused by an improperly ground pin. The notch for the plunger that fits in the center is a little too wide and you can't push the pin past the plunger with your finger.

I have a similar problem with a slide stop that was replaced at the factory. I think that the factory is running out of parts and is using whatever was left over.

Its really hard to hold the slide and use something to push it thru. Maybe I'll try ordering one and see how lucky I am. Parts seem to have a lot back order status listed.
Thanks for the advice

Mine is tight, too, and I think I have read other threads on this subject. I believe they may all be this way by design. Just get a dowel to push the right hand side to get it moving.

Here is how to do it. Remove the mag and check that the gun is unloaded. Place the gun in your hand in the normal manner. Rotate your hand a little so that your four fingers are over the top of the slide just ahead of the rear sight. The web of the thumb should still be under the beaver tail. Now squeeze with your fingers until the slide retracts enough so that the notch is over the pin. Rotate your hand so that the right side of the gun is visible and have your hand and gun supported by a table underneath. Then use your left hand to hold the tool to remove the pin. After you do it a few times it becomes second nature.
