438 J Frame ummm Pinto

Do folks dig the Pinto look. If I remember correctly Smith did a factory one in centennial frame configuration.

Had a 642 cylinder laying around so I machined it for my CCW HDTM Moon Clips and took new pictures for the J frame CNC machined CCW HDTM Moon Clip conversions page on my site

Never had a Pinto so threw it in my 438 and timing was perfect, BC gap nice at 0.005 with zero endshake

Have you test fired it yet? It's entirely possible to have a cylinder that fits and functions in the revolver until you fire a round, and then it locks up.

Before you start relying on it, make sure it's not a really hard to reload single shot.

Sure did. Shot it yesterday afternoon. Runs like a charm with and without moon clips.

I always run everything before I'd carry it. New ones as well as old ones that are new to me and ones that have been worked on just to prove them out for myself
