Your opinion on Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max?

Capacity [compared to the lcp] and WEIGHT [compared to 365]! Weight difference is huge! I have both a 2.0 and 365. For me, the 365 is a superb BELT gun. No way I can make it a pocket gun. But I do agree, the original LCPs are great pocket guns. Just not as shootable as the 2.0. YMMV

I have the BG 2.0 and after 700 rounds down range have not had one FTF or FTE, it has run flawless. Easy to carry at 3:30, pocket or Apendix.
I carry my 365 in my front pocket sometimes. Jeans or cargo pants/shorts. Couldn't do it with gym shorts though. I don't think I'd carry anything in gym shorts unless pocket had a zipper.
I have the LCP MAX. Pluses easy to carry ccw, never had a jam or failure to feed, hammer feed,good night sights, trigger is not bad in mho. Minuses I have had trouble shooting low been correcting this using the Matrix. Not pleasant to shoot after 20-30 rounds im done. In my opinion it`s a belly gun. Good luck on your decision.
Bodyguard 2.0 is the better of the two for multiple reasons. I have both.
In my opinion, the BG 2.0 is the best small .380 auto ever made.
Glock 42 is a close second.
I owned an LCP Max and switched to the BG 2.0. I have been extremely satisfied with the 2.0, whereas I had function issues with the trigger safety lever on the LCP. The BG 2.0 fits my hand very well and I like the ergonomics. It carries comfortably in an IWB hip holster.

Always prefer to modify the cheapest part, but you're likely right. I did get some new, super duper yellow stuff that is supposed to work.

MY wife has had a ruger max since they have been around . Been a issue free handgun . does whats it meant to do with out wondering if your bought a pistol or another s&w with issues ! I will say my wifes 380 is not her primary carry . Thats a 9mm p365 xl . The little max get carried only when a dress is more suited to the occasion and then carried in a garter belt holster with an extra extended mag . carry ammo is underwood extreme defender now .

I had a BG 2.0. Loved the ergos but Issues with feeding and ejection all ammo types made give it up. Also didn't care for the stiff loading mags (10 was hard and could never fit 12 in the 12), relatively hard to rack and super wide rear sight. When it ran I never could shoot it that well. I now have a LCP Max. Ergos aren't as good as the 2.0. However it is 100% reliable, mags are incredibly easy to load, racks easily and sights are better for my eyes. I just plain shoot better with it especially with one hand, but more importantly given it's role, I trust it completely. I use the 10 round mag with flush plate.

If I were you, I'd buy my LCP Max, since I haven't touched it since shooting my BG 2.0.

Actually, just returned from another trip to the range, and got the XS sights dialed in on the BG 2.0, and boy, I'm liking this thing more and more, and couldn't ask for any better ergonomics and accuracy from a gun small enough to put in my pocket (barely). And it's just plain fun to shoot to boot!
Note: I tried out the Underwood 68 Gr. Xtreme Defense ammo again, and this time I "only" got one failure to feed with one out of 30 rounds, but find that any and all other defensive ammo I run through it runs flawlessly. So for the time being, I'll stick with one of the better HP choices for carry, and keep plugging away at the range with the Underwood until, and if I'm satisfied that it will run without hiccup.

Difficult loading of magazines can be rectified by clipping a couple or more coils off the bottom of the magazine spring.
Kahrs are, or used to be, the worst about hard to load magazines. I have had several years ago and I learned to shorten the length of the springs by 1/4 to 1/3 of their length.
Ridiculous situation.
Too many guns are designed by engineers and marketers who don't know much or anything about loading and shooting a guns.
Are you shooting Underwood Extreme Penetrator in that mix?
How much bigger is the 2.0 than the original?
I carry the original in a pocket holster everywhere, but like the increased capacity. I haven't held the 2.0, and would like to carry in my pocket.

No, at around $2.00 per round, it's just way more than I want to spend for a questionable boost in effectiveness. That's a heck of a lot more than it costs to feed my 45-70 Marlin, which I thought was crazy expensive! Yes, I could see potentially chambering an Extreme Penetrator as a first strike round, without having to worry about it feeding reliably. That's something I might consider at some point...and buying just one or two boxes of it won't break the bank. Do you use the Extreme Penetrator?

The 2.0 may actually be smaller than the 1.0. I have both, the 2.0 is certainly lighter, and far better ergonomically. The 2.0 has a significantly lower bore axis than the older model. The 1.0s trigger is very deliberate, with a long double action pull. For old revolver guys, it's not bad, but the 2.0 trigger is easier to shoot. Check Handgun Hero for a direct comparison.

I'm using Xtreme Penetrator exactly as you suggest. First round only. And it's too expensive to do a proper test of how it feeds. I have shot just enough to verify it's reliable as a chambered round, that it extracts properly, and can cycle the action of the pistol, feeding the next round.
The new Bodyguard 2.0 is way bigger than the LCP Max, it almost doesn't classify as a micro.
Here is a direct video comparison between the LCPMax and the BG 2.0 No, I don't think the BG2.0 is bigger. It looks much larger than it is but if you hold it, you will be amazed at how tiny it is.
