I have a .44 double Action first model, Long Strap Variation, caliber .44 S&W Russian Revolver that has about 14 thousand end shake. I disassembled the extraction cam, barrel catch but was not able to remove the base Pin. The cylinder screws three quarters into the base pin. I have that completely disassembled. I would like to remove the end shake by stretching the base pin to take up the end shake. I would need to remove the basin pin to accomplish this task. I would appreciate any feed back that you can give me regarding the removal of the base pin or another way to remove that end shake. I have this safe queen revolver since 2010 and would like to remove the end shake. Thank You

You might check into cylinder endshake bearings. I don't know if the ones for K,L, and N frame will fit yours, but it wouldn't cost much to find out. If it works, it might be an easier alternative fix, but I don't know what all is involved in doing it on that gun. Most of my experience is on the later models.
