So I started out with a few 357 Magnums. I swore I wouldn't go higher. My friend introduced me to the 44 which I didn't realize was all that bad: PC 629 Hunter.

Then I got hooked and wondered what all the hype was. I traded for a 454 Casull, and realized that recoil was not bad. It was loud, but not unpleasant.

So I stepped up to the 500 S&W. Again, not bad in the length I chose. Very accurate. Very powerful.

But I felt a gap. I wanted velocity and power, too. So I had to get the 460 XVR.

I'm configuring everything with Red Dots. Two have Aimpoints. But I tried a Primary Arms Advanced Microdot, and it's taking the recoil of the Smith 500 like a champ. They're rated for high velocity like 12 gauges and 308. I put 35 rounds through my 500. Super fun. I would have shot more if I had more.

Obviously I will be reloading for these revolvers. I just ordered dies for the 460. I already have the equipment for the 44, Casull and 500.

Nice looking group sir. I especially like the Light Hunter. I mounted

Mine with a 2x Leupold EER using the factory supplied barrel mount..

The forward position seems to balance better for me..

If you want / need more power you might consider either a 475 or a 500 Linebaugh . I'm sure either will satisfy that " itch " . Good Luck

Great points. I have most of my desires satisfied for now. Those are great rounds.

Perhaps you should be thinking of a Freedom Arms revolver next, since you like shooting very stout loads.

Or for pure fun, a Ruger Alaskan. Good flamethrower.

Big boomers are fun :)

I was shooting rifles with my brother and a few friends a couple of years back, one of which was a younger fellow of 18 who was sighting in his ported .308. I asked him if he would like to touch off my m70 in 338WM and he quietly threw me the middle finger.. LOL!

There are 45/70 and 444 revolvers out there .
I had 45/70 and 30/30 barrels for my TC Contender that were fun.
