442 Pro series

For some reason, I am stuck on getting a 442 Pro Series for my CCW. I like the fact that it can use the moon clips. Currently I carry a New Model Bodyguard 38 but the 442 seems to be calling me becouse its about 1/2" shorter and might work a little better for pocket carry.

Lets here it. Does anyone have any positive or negative input?

Ever tried to carry moon clipped ammo in your pocket for reloads? Tend to get bent. Speedloaders are easier, and speed strips easier yet.

I agree with you. My thinking/plan is that the moon clipped ammo in the cylinder will extract easier and keep a speed strip in my pocket for reloads. I thought the moon clipped ammo would be handy to keep in the console of my truck. I dont really plan on carrying the moons clips in my pocket. I hate carrying a speed loader in my pocket now so I have always used speed strips.

Nothing but positive from me for the 442 Pro -- it's a superb set-up for a basic, deep concealment personal defense revolver: light unto forgetting you're carrying it; incredibly accurate for a small snubby; easy to shoot even with heavier loads using the factory grips; excellent resistance to sweat and the elements with the special coating and stainless steel cylinder and barrel.

And no lock.

I've been carrying moon clips in my pockets several years now, am very active, and haven't bent a one. Do yourself a favor and get a BMT or Moon Clip Tool and you're set.

I've been carrying a moon clip in my pocket with no ill effects...
