44Mag=1. Groundhog=0! This was fun! Graphic picture warning!

Just a pest that needed exterminating. They get into the berms and tunnel them full. Mounds everywhere and just basically a pain.

Not to mention, they burrow up into the fields too making a tough time of some tractor work! ;)

Oh I agree with you, grew up on a farm, and they make a heck of a mess out of a hay field if not treated with the appropriate lead pill. One of the fields we stopped haying had one create a monterous size hole, looked like giant sized ant hill.

*Couldn't resist an opportunity for a "Groundhogs Day" quote!

At the ranges I shoot on, we've had groundhogs, moose and bears wander out in front of the firing line. However, taking the opportunity to pot any or all of them (even if it is in season and you have the tag in your pocket) is frowned upon by the authorities and strictly verboten; think bighouse.

Yep...at the one club, I've seen them sitting in the tunnels on the side berms, watching me as I walk downrange to pull my targets.

Beautiful bullets, and great shooting! How about a pic of just the bullet as cast, and a source for that mould?
Thanks

I stand, sit rather, corrected! :)

:D When I was a kid and was forced to live in that Godforsaken place called Ohio....use to sit on a wagon out behind the barn and shoot 'em with an old single shot 12 gauge when they would waddle from the old horse barn out to the corn field in the back....

scattershot,

I will get a picture of just the bullet posted soon. The mould can be had from the manufacturer. mp-molds.com
They are in Slovenia but he makes a lot of moulds for the castboolit crowd over on their forum.

Great moulds. I'll get some pictures up of them too.

If you're ever out to the land of fruits & nuts look me up. I have a plentitude of gophers and the wife keeps her cats too well fed to be really enthusiastic about dealing with them.

Touching off Big Dog .44s in my back yard might upset the neighbors a bit....

I did a first rate CSI autopsy on him and I found no projectile from the GSW
.

The bullet is in the dirt, now a Condor is going to fly in from CA and find and eat that bullet.Good shooting any day.

This is the drawing for the bullet that I used in this shooting.

I am looking for a real picture of them!
