I have been trying to locate some sources for loading 300 grain cast bullets for my .45-70 using Reloader 7 powder. Any sources?

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 3rd Edition shows some "RX7" loads starting at 47.0 grains and going up to max of 51.0 grains for a 322 grain cast bullet. According to paragraph on Reloader 7 it's Hercules' fastest rifle powder. Load data on page 232 on M1873 Springfield level loads.

What kind of gun are you loading for. If its an older trap door and you use the Ruger 1 or Marlin data you will have big problems. The Rx7 loads I use in my Marlin guide gun would be dangerous in any older 45/70.

Lyman 48th shows 50.0-55.0 grains in the 1873 Trapdoor section for a 292gr cast. I have used 47.0gr with a 300gr cast in a 12" Hunter T/C Contender; chrono'd it at 1548fps.
