I made a simple point as to the actual definition of accuracy. If you want to deliberately misconstrue my point to justify your "Hair Trigger" anger go right ahead. Enjoy your rant 

Nobody is misconstruing your point. How do you know if the OP went to the range to test accuracy or just to enjoy shooting his fine looking Smith?
IMO, benches are for initial sight in and load testing. From that point on, it's a test of shooter skill, that means up off your duff and shoot like a man. If you get "patterns" as you say, I think it's time to work on your technique. The bench won't help that.
Well duh, if you read the OP's post you would see that he mentioned the satisfying accuracy he got. And real men don't need no stinking benches right? They stand up on their hind legs and shoot like a man huhWow! And you do fail to understand the simple point. Shooter skill and accuracy of a gun and or load are two entirely different things. And I didn't say that testing gun and load accuracy from a bench would improve your technique when shooting patterns standing on your manly hind legs. Reading comprehension is a genuine challenge for many folks it seems
