I plan on calling Freedom Arms tomorrow and asking them directly, but in the interm I'll ask you.

Do you have any favorite loads for a 350g bullet in the .454 using IMR 4227 or W296/H110?

My original data from FA only goes up to 300g.

I'll be shooting them in a FA revolver, so I can go hot w/o issues related to other manufacturers firearms.

Here's the bullet I'll be using. I have it in plain base and gas check.

ST-

I have some data here that may help you out a bit. In my copy of John Taffin's book Big Bore Handguns, There's data for the SSK 340 rgain bullet that goes from 28 gr H-110 up to 31gr, with velocity shown for 3 different barrel lengths.
Since the 7.5 is in the middle, I'll list them-

28 gr=1585 fps
29 gr=1631 fps
30 gr=1672 fps
31 gr=1758 fps

CAUTION!!
Taffins loads listed above are safe only in Freedom Arms revolvers, and should not be used in any other make of gun.

In an article in Handloader #232 written by Brian Pearce he shows loads for the following weihts that are close to what you are using-

335 CPBC WLN GC/ 27 gr. 296 =1559 fps from a 7.5" bbl

340 SSK TC FN / 27 gr. H-110 =1458 fps from a 7.5" bbl

360 Oregon Trail Laser Cast WNFP / 26 gr. H-110 =1451 fps from a 7.5" bbl

Pearce used Rem 7 1/2 primers and Starline brass. Taffin makes no mention of other components besides bullet weight.

Pearce's loads are safe for any .454 and are within SAAMI specs (actually they are from 5-15% below max SAAMI specs).

EDITED TO ADD-

Hodgdon doesn't show a 350 gr load on their website, and all their data is for use in all makes of handguns, so it is well below what your F/A will handle safely.

I spoke to a tech at FA today. He told me to start at 21g and a max of 23g depending on pressure signs.

He told me that 350g bullet @ 1400 ~ 1500fps would put it into the .475 Linebaugh arena.

It'll be getting darn close anyways. I get just under 1500 from my F/A .475 with 370 grain CPBC LFN's.:)
