Any ideas on the value of this revolver? I have a chance to buy it and am not knowledgeable enough about this model to know what a fair price is.

I have not seen it in person--only this pic.

It's a Hand Ejector MK. II. The top of the frame above the grip may be stained or worn.

Is it DEFINITELY in the original .455 chambering? Many have been altered.

See it and handle before buying. Buying a gun sight unseen often leaves you disappointed.

Not sure if it's been modified. I know a lot were changed to .45 Colt.

I'td be a face to face deal, just not sure what to offer.

From the pic, it doesn't look like it's been converted. (unless they recessed the heads) Most that have been converted, you can easily see the extra headspace. You'll have to open the cylinder to know for sure. (if the heads are recessed, OR if the serial number has been milled off the lip of the cylinder, then it's been converted.
As to value, I picked up a similar non-convert at a pawn shop in NE AL last year for around $325 otd.
