Months of searching LGS's and Web classifieds had turned up nothing but near misses on my quest for an affordable 4566.
I finally lucked out and bought one offered to me by a forum member. Nice, clean gun with 4 OEM mags for $425 shipped.
Blasted 150 rounds thorough it without a hiccup. Hate the sights though, so I'm putting an LSA low profile target sight on it.
The day after I picked up the 4566 at my receiving dealer I ended up finding a carried a lot, shot a little model 59 in another dealers case. Appeared to be in about 85% condition, with two S&W mags. Upon close examination, the bluing on the slide was near perfect except for substantial holster loss at the muzzle. Did a little negotiating and got it for $307 out the door ($284 plus tax and PA instant check fees).
Cleaned her up last night and found the gun to be very tight, and a pretty good looker after some scrubbing and Flitz gun wax.
Can't wait to shoot her.
