Picked this up this week. I had my eye out for one for awhile and had almost given up and then this popped up on a Colt forum. The gentleman was selling this and a similarly chopped 1917 Colt as a package deal but got enough interest in separating them that he did...Good for me and the other guy!
The barrel is just a hair over 2", if the resolution allows, you can look really closely at the frame location where the crane closes you can see the dimple that allows for clearance of the crane ball detent, since the ejector rod detent is now gone. It had the stock walnut grips which were nicely aged, but I decided to go with these Altamonts. Needed a little bit of fitting, but I'm pretty happy with them.
I just removed the lanyard swivel tonight- turns out a tiny Allen wrench works in a pinch. I think it was a Brazilian, based on that lanyard, and the pitting under the grips.
I picked up a Tyler T grip but it wasn't as comfortable as these Magnas on their own.
