45c question/problem?

I have owned a 45c for about two years. Today while wiping it down and doing a function check I noticed that it would not lock back when inserting an empty mag and then racking the slide back unless I put slight upward pressure on the bottom of the mag. Is this normal for an M&P? I took it out back and fired a few rounds and it did lock back when the last round was fired. Is this something to be concerned about? Thanks for any info.

I won't be much help but I might get you some attention -

I have a FS 45 and with the mag out it will not lock back, but with an empty mag inserted all the way it does lock back. Take the slide assembly off and insert an empty mag, see if the follower lifts the slide lock a little. Perhaps the empty mag you were trying had a sticky slide, but worked fine when you were shooting?

I tried all 3 of my mags but I will try looking at it with the slide off and mag inserted. Had not thought of that. I have now contacted S&W and they are sending me a label. They want to look at it.
