45c safery removal. Urgent help needed

I had removed the safety lever a while back. Just got the frame plugs and trying to install them. Removed the block and put in the frame plugs. Can't get the block back in. Do the frame plugs go in first or last? I did remove the small spring and metal piece so that's not the problem. If the plugs go in last then how do you have room to do so? Getting stressed to the point of I'm about ready to throw this thing into the gulf. Stressed...need help!

Never mind. Apparently last. If they stay in great! If not...the fix will involve superglue!

Not for nothing, late reply. When I did mine (2 .40's) I installed them 1st, then the blocks. 1 slid in nice as pie, the other block fought me some, but both turned out well.

Like you, I did not know the proper procedure. But we have learned that it will work both ways!

Traded it for a 3 pound hand drill and a bench grinder. Ready for finish work.

When I got my 45c, they included the wrong backstraps. Maybe these come in different sizes?

I contacted S&W support by email, the dealer that ordered by MP45C made the mistake of requesting the safety. I am hoping they will just send me a set, if not the quoted me about $12.00 to purchase them.

There is a big rain puddle beside my house right now. When you get frustrated, you can throw it in there! Lol. Then I will fix it for free next time, no charge, honest, but test firing might take long time.
