Local dealer has a minty 49-2 Bodyguard in on trade. Its easily 98%+, locks up tight, very little wear on the top of front sight and backstrap. Doesn't look shot much at all. It has a set of Uncle Mike's rubber boot grips on it which should be correct giving the production timeframe...CAW prefix puts it as one of the last ones made in '96. All tool steel parts are present and it is on the original J frame, not J Magnum frame. The cylinder release is the newer MIM style, but that is possibly correct given this is the year it was introduced also. Didn't get to ask if the original box is with it, just had them hold it for me since I was on my way to work.
What would be considered a good price on this snubby? They told me $359 but I want to see if they'll do any better.
I have a 36-7 and 60-7. The 49-2 has the same engineering changes they had...1/8" wide front sight and +P rated from factory. They are the last non Magnum versions made.
