OH boy, you're gonna turn into one of those guys, an ex-smoker.
GOOD FOR YOU.

I finished the last cigarette, out of my last pack, out of my last carton in about 1985. Now getting off toothpicks afterwards, that was a real bear.
Now I am one of those guys, an ex-smoker. Can't stand to be around them. Pull up to a red light in traffic and I can smell someone burnin one in the gaggle of cars stopped.

They say that hand to mouth thing is a real bear to quit.
Hang in there!

I was a fairly heavy smoker until I was about 45. Then one day I simply decided to stop, and I did. No easing off, just cold turkey. At least for me it was fairly painless.

My wife was a heavier smoker, and it became a real bone of contention between us. She tried all sorts of things, none of which worked. She finally tried Chantix, and that did work. About 10 years after quitting, she did get lung cancer. Fortunately it was caught early, but she still lost half of one lung and had to go through a month of radiation treatments.

it's a shame that our lovely government destroyed the vape industry.
It's very difficult for the user to take control of the system as they could when it was new.
Basically, I transitioned from smoking to vaping.
After that, I mixed my own E juice making reductions in strength till the addiction broke.
Today, when I get a craving, its for my vape rig rather than a cigarette.
if I falter I have some 0mg on a shelf somewhere.
Its been at least 3 years since the last such episode.
The system worked painlessly and had capacity for future maintenance, We can't have the easy way anymore.
best of luck to you.

Congrats! Another 40+ years ex smoker and quit bout 15 years ago. One of the tricks i learned after, but didn't spend for, was to hire a cleaning service to fully clean your home and vehicle. While likely expensive, if ya can afford it it would be worth it.

The last pack of cigarettes I bought the price was .39 cents. Now, I did smoke a pipe or cigar occasionally until I needed a stent in my coronary artery about 22 years ago. Then totally quit.

The delicate smells of spring in the woods I hadn't enjoyed in many years. You'll be glad you stuck it out.
