5 screw pre 29 help

Need some quick help/guidance. I am currently haggling for this auction. He is asking way more than I want to pay. What do you say the value is.

Even though this is a 5 scr, I have a feeling I should let it go...it's a little rougher than I would like.

Given the scattered surface problems and the non-original stocks (they aren't Cokes), I understand your hesitation. But I'm not sure you can get a five-screw Pre-29 for significantly less unless the gun is pretty much thrashed.

If you are concerned about its roughness, I'd let it go by and look for a better one, even it means paying a little more for it.

About 1000-1100 tops on this one. Consideration given to the condition and incorrect target stocks which are ca 1966-68
