July 15, 2010 my wife passed away after a short bout with pancreatic cancer. I still remember the outpouring of support I received from the members of this forum when I sadly announced that my flag had been lowered to half staff. Thank you all once again.

Anniversaries of that kind can be tough.

You're right about the support. On 6 September it'll be a year since my brother, with whom I was very close, died. The prayers and encouragement I received then were priceless, and I've seen many others supported the same way.

Wonderful bunch of people we have here.

I remember that well, tough time.
5 years gone so fast

My MIL was diagnosed in Oct, and she's one of the most stoic people I've ever known. She refused all treatments and is prepared to go out on her terms. She has a strong faith in the Redeemer, so no worries.
She always treated me as well as my own mother, and my wife is going to miss her dearly.

The body is no longer with you but the spirit will always be there. Remember all the joy you had together as one day you will be reunited.
Sorry about your lost I have seen so many of my family go, and I am the oldest one left, memories are a great thing to have.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
