500 S&W In A Rifle

Personally for me I've thought the Savage bolt action would be the best and easiest to turn into a .500 S&W since the barrels have that nut.
Also the action should handle the pressure fine, now the mag may take some work and the bolt.

But I highly suspect I could have one for under $1,000 if I wanted.

Have had a NEF in .500 S&W for several years. Mainly got it to experiment with loading that cartridge.
Tried scoping it, but the mounting holes kept getting stripped when I shot it.
Put a Williams rear peep on it and a small hi-viz front, and has worked great as a woods/brush deer gun.
I found that mid-range loads using a plated HP bullet dropped deer just as good as the romp'em-stomp'em Hornady factory rounds.
