520 NYSP question.

I never did find a shooter grade 520, so I had to settle on the gun the NYSP purchased instead of the 520:

For many years I thought the prettiest handgun ever made was the mod. 58. Then I laid eyes on the 520 and the 58 went to second place. That slimmer barrel just won me over.

Though the 520 barrel is noticeably slimmer, the guns weigh almost exactly the same 40.7 ounces for the 41 mag and 40.6 ounces for the 357.

Yes mine had been used.

The original owner fired it twice, a test round and the second one to his head.

Yes, it was a suicide gun.

Then my brother put another 100 rounds through it.

So when I sold it it had been fired a total of 102 times. :D

I have a suicide Taurus 357, neighbors brother liked to play Russian roulette when he was drunk, one night his luck ran out. I can't imagine anyone thinking 1 in 6 are favorable odds.

I found this to be funny. Don't know why but I did.

As my 100 year old great grandmother used to say, "Better off to laugh than to waste our time crying!" :-)
