i am having senior moments. i aquired a 5903 ssv a couple of years ago. i am the second owner and i know exactly how many rounds were through it. a friend of mine who is also a police carried it as a off duty for years.
my questions are are these rare? i know they shoot very wedll adn use the same mags as my 910 and any other 5906 guns
it is a short slide ala 6904 with a lightweight slide finished in brushed color like stainless.
i cane even find them in the blue book of gun values.
any thoughts and no i am not sellling it, sorry

The SCS&W says 1500 made in 1990. I didn't realize this but there were actually more 5943 SSVs (over 3200 in 1991) than 5903s.

I have a standard model 5903 and i rilly like it alot, it was also a cop trade-in pistol in very good condition, carried alot shot a little. I think a SSV of it sounds rilly neat, as for my self have herd of them, but never seen one in person.

Here's my 5943 SSV. I don't think that the two-toned is all that common. I've never quite understood the SSV. I suppose they were looking to reduce weight while maintaining capacity. This one is a keeper. I picked it up in like-new condition for around $350. DAO guns never sell as well so prices are often very good.
