5906 accessories

Hello everyone, I'm new here but i think i will like this site. I have to admit i have a Smith & Wesson addiction. Anyway enough rambling back on point, I have a model 5906 9mm and would love to get some general info on it such as year it was made and what kind of accessories i can put on it such as a laser.

Like i said its a model 5906 and the seriel number is TZK XXXX
I would love to put a laser on it I think that would make it look awesome bt it does not have a rail on it so i dont know what kind of options i have if any at all. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, do not know the date of your smith but you can get laser grips. Would love to see some pics.

Did you just recently purchase your 5906? How about some pics of it!

Just call S&W and they will give you the mfg date on the phone. I got that info recently for my 5906. TCRxxxx was 03/89.

ok ok ok i get it lol you guys want to see pics lol....ok top right is the 5906 bottom right is my model 629 44 mag top left is my 1911TA in 45 bottom right is my wife's M&P 22 12 shot which also has a little laser on it for her convenience .....this is my little S&W collection that i am expanding on a little bit at a time

New to S&W. Tips and Advice welcome!!

I just got my first S&W 5906. It's the 2nd pistol I've owned(the first being a Ruger LCP .380). I'm wanting to know where to get a decent priced laser and dark wood(almost black) or pearly white grips for it. Any info and tips would be much appreciated!

Accessories are few and far between for the 5906 as it's been out of production for about 10 years. Check Hogue for wooden grips, but I don't know if they make them very dark.

For the laser I put a Crimson Trace Grip laser on my 5906 The model # is LG-359

There is a company in Turkey that is making wood grips for the third generation Smiths. Their name escapes me at the moment, but do a search on this forum section and you will probably turn them up. As for a laser, later TSW models had a rail riveted to the bottom of the dust cover. Lots of folks didn't like the rail and removed them. You might post a WTB ad and see what you turn up. Also might be able to get one from S&W.
