5906 Gen ?

Good morning, I have a 5906 with the squared off trigger guard
and adjustable sights. I'm wondering if anyone can tell mfg. year

I picked one up the other day. 5906 with square trigger guard and adjustable sights. If been wondering how old it is. It came with what looks like a holster that A LEO would wear. It even says " The Cop " on the back of the holster. I will be posting my serial number along with pictures later today if someone can help me out to find when it was made/ used. I absolutely love the gun. It's more accurate than my 92fs which I though was a tack driver. It has absolutely no kick at all, I though my first round I shot was a squib.
Whoever had it before me put a flat grey duracoat on it, while leaving the ears of the sights, safety, mag release, etc all stainless. Looks beautiful.
ANYWAYS.. Sorry for rambling.

Square trigger guards were on the early guns......... so best guess 1989-92.

The AIP serial pistols are the earliest 3rd gens - probably late 88.

Yes, 'AIPxxxx' serial numbers were the first 3rd Gen pistols from 1988.
