Congrats....One of my all time favorites....Enjoy one of the best 9 mms ever made IMHO.

Boy I am jealous!. I have been looking for 5906 in California awhile. Of course in California we are limited to a 10 round mag. I look at gunbroker but all I see is 15 round mags. That won't work in California. Hope soon I can get one.

Congrat and good luck,

Just curious, in looking at different 5906's online the last few days, I noticed that some have blue triggers and hammers, while others are all stainless.

Anyone know why?

Chris,
The blue/black hammers and triggers are the later "MIM" parts. The flash chromed parts appear on earlier guns.

There have been a couple on Calguns.net recently. That gun is not on the roster so you will have to do a PPT with the seller at a FFL. You can buy the 10 round mags after you find the gun. Good luck.

Nice gun. I saw the range report in the other thread. I have seen here in the forum, that there are a few people looking for 5906's and finding that sometimes they are few and far between. Were you looking specifically for one? If so, did it take a while to find? That looks like a new gun.

That's a very nice looking 5906!

Mine has the squared trigger guard; I bought it new that way. I've always hated it; I have always thought the 5906's with the smaller, round trigger guards looked much nicer.

Enjoy your 5906!

No, I actually went out that day with the intention of getting either a Glock or Springfield XD, but after handling them and a few other polymer guns, I didn't care for any of them, except of the Ruger SR9. One of my favorite local gun shops, had just got this 5906 in on a trade 2 days prior, and when I handled it I knew it was "the one"! :)

Just basic random luck.

It's not brand new, but it's close. It looks like it's had a few magazines full through it.
