Picked this beauty up at my FFL Friday afternoon.

According to Dr. Jinks it left the mother ship on January 1958.

The photos weren't that clear on the online auction but I took a chance and placed my max bid and to my surprise I got it👍

They had it listed as a model 27 4 screw…no barrel length noted.

Outside of the painted front sight (which can be removed) and the wrong stocks on it (most likely will put a set of period correct magnas on it) this doesn't appear to have been fired much.

The blue is deep and flawless.

I still need a 4" & 8 3/8" to complete the set ….most likely the 8 3/8" will be next.

Pete, Thats a really gorgeous 5 screw 50's 6.5 inch Smith there !!
That one really makes me jealous and luv the 6.5 barrel. That's a fine one for your Model 27 5 Screw Group.. Just a beautiful Smith Revolver !!
Really Nice Aquisition !!
Best, Randy..

That's a beauty, and the Coke Bottle stocks are an extremely nice addition! I know that it would be nice to have the original matching standard stocks, but a set of Cokes is quite a consolation! I love the .357 Magnums and Model 27s. This is my 1955 revolver, and one of my favorite N-frames. Enjoy!

Paint removed & magna try on

Thanks for all the great comments guys👍

Took the orange paint off & found white underneath it.

Tried on the magna's off my 3 1/2" no dash 27.

The frame is a little proud to this set of stocks…I like the look of the magna's.

I'll have to check with my son later in the week once he gets home from deer camp to see what he might have stashed away (N-dia magna's).

If he doesn't have any I'm sure my buddy Fleabus101 can hook me up.

Sorry for the glare from light…got some rain outside today.
