I found this 2013 60-14 recently for $399 in a local shop. It had some top strap finish issues and what looked like oxidation on the hammer/key lock, which is probably why it was priced so low. I was expecting to find some rust when I got inside, but it was clean as a whistle.
What I did find was a round shim under the hammer on the hammer pin. I've been inside countless S&W's but have never seen anything shimmed. Would the Factory ever do this, or was this done by the prior owner?
I'm not sure why it was in there? And I just left it when I put everything back together. I still need to shoot it and confirm everything works fine. Seems to work fine during dry fire.
I swapped out the grips for these Pach's.
