On Christmas Day in SW MI, it was 60 degrees! Just so happens that us boys (& sometimes girls [emoji3]) always try to do some backyard shooting on the holidays. This is what my son and I brought to the party ......

Models 66, 63, 37, 13 ..... oh, and a Sig 226 for something different. Shot a bunch of 38's and an equal number of 357's thru the Smiths. What fun!! Anyone else?

No shooting for me this year on Christmas Day, However I did build a dueling tree with ar500 steel 6" paddles a week or so ago and put about 1/2 a brick of 22's through both of my Ruger Mark pistols. I plan on shooting the remainder of the brick with my 10/22 this afternoon. I just might get one of my 1911's out too.

Yesterday it was 65 here is SW Virginia. Didn't get to the range but did another favorite pastime. Play golf with my best fiend Mike, a Vietnam vet who was an MP in Saigon during the 1968 Tet offensive. Great guy. Forecast says mild for awhile so hope to get to the range and do some trout fishing before the cold sets back in.

Enjoy each day to get out - spring is only about three months away.

Thought about going to the range or for a quick MC ride since it was so nice here in western CO.but ended hanging out with the wife and the mutts instead. I always try to go for a MC ride on New Years day each year to the year started right. Hope the weather cooperates.

My friends and I go for a ride too every New Years Day but not on motorcycles.

Monday I'll head north and have dinner with two of my daughters that evening. I'll do some volunteer work Tuesday, have lunch with a couple good friends and then head to 5-Mile Pass for our Annual New Years Day Ride.

The last time we had a significant snow fall in my part of South Texas was 2004. This year it was 75 on Christmas Day and no snow!!
