I wanted to show my recently bought 617-1

Nothing really special but I dressed it up like my 686 so they form a family.
Millett sights and like new diamond target stocks.

I would love to ad a 696 to it but the five gun limit here in Holland teases me. Not to forget that I never seen one here, I think they all stayed in the USA?

Nice pair, and interesting to note that your 617-1 is a square butt-mine is a round butt.

Very nice! BTW: I use to work in Holland and I love your country. Almost decided to retire over there in the southern part. Anyway, nice guns.
Regards,

Got to love them L Frames! The older grips look great on stainless steel.

I'm very confused...I thought the mod. 617 was only chambered in .22 LR.

Hey careful with the 5 gun limit thing... Californians might be reading this and we don't want them to get ANY ideas =/

Those are beauties, I would love to add a 617 to my collection in the future.

Great looking set, the grips are outstanding. That is my favorite pair of revolvers also, these two have made a few trips to the range together.

Great set! That must be a very early -1!! The flash chromed trigger and hammer, the old style latch and the square butt are all things my -1 doesn't have. I've heard people say square butt -1's exist but this would be the first time I've seen one.

That's s great pair, scarce in the SB configuration, and beautifully personalized. The 617 and 686 are among my favorite S&Ws. That's a 686 Mountain Gun in the single pic and a 617, 686 MG, 629 MG, and a 625 MG in a row.....
