Not one, but, two 3" 624`s at the gun show today. I picked these two out of a group of 5. The other three consisted of two 29-3`s and a 629-3. All 3". The seller told me to take them all and pay him later but I had to refrain. It was tempting though. 624 serial numbers are ALU 0573 and ALW5422.

Congratulations.
Very nice.
When it rains it pours.
Is that normal for five 3" N frames to be at the gun shows you frequents? They're rarer than flying pigs around here.

I see a lot of nice revolvers at the show here but that was not the norm. He was getting low on table stock and had to get in his safe.

Very nice buys. You can call Lew Horton tomorrow and they will tell you if those two were part of the Lew Horton special runs of the 1980s.

An embarrassment of riches.

The ALU is a known Lew Horton s/n prefix. The ALW is so close, it's probably LH, too. Worth a call, or email, to confirm.

Plus, if you ask, LH will send you nice pseudo "factory letters" for free on their letter head confirming the province of the guns.

Have mercy! How often does that happen?!? I wish I'd been in line behind you. That 3" 29 would be in my safe right now!:D

Impolite question?

Impolite question?

I know it is impolite to ask what you gave for them, so I will ask what was the seller asking each for them?

If I have offended please forgive but I am sure others are wanting to know also?!

rd :)

I think you hit it on the head. I did not get them cheap. He started out at 1350. each ,came down to 1250. each , but with my trading material, I ended up having 1050. in each. I believe he has been hiding them in his safe for years,

Really good deal on that pair, congratulations on your find.
I never see the LH 3" guns anywhere I look.
I do have a 29-3 Combat with the 3", along with a 3" 657. Happy to have them both. The 29-3 came with box, paper and tools about 25 years ago ($350.00!). I bought the 657 within the last year, not as good a deal.
