625 6”???

[Model29-26.5]

Has anyone seen one of these before?
6” 625?
I haven’t ever seen one myself.
I’ve seen 4” mountain guns, tapered barrel with the classic old shrouded rod design but not a BBL 6” like this one?
Unless it’s a 25-5 that has been hard chromed?
Any info would be great. Thanks

Likely a refinished 25-5 or later variant.

It looks like a 624 but I can't make out the caliber marking on the barrel, with my aging eyes, I can't even tell if the barrel is tapered. If the barrel is not tapered, it could even be a 629. Actually, looking at the barrel extension, I think I'd lean toward it being a 629-?

Pretty sure the right barrel is stamped “.45 Colt CTG”.

This was from Wikipedia. Not exactly Bastian of facts, But it did say 45 colt CTG On the Barrel. It is not mine so I Can’t look Under the yolk.,
I’m thinking it’s probably hard chrome but it does look very stainless.

The hard chrome finishes did give the appearance of stainless steel but were much more durable.
