I thought i would swap out my front and rear sights to red ramp & .146 white outline rears. Bought the kit from Brownells. Watched the Brownells video and though "Sure I can do that". Front went without issue, drove pin out, tapped out black blade Measured for correct width & height. Tapped in new red ramp drilled with #54 and tapped pin back in. Thought Groovy. Turned windage screw until it snapped just like video. pulled screw head out and plingo, spring and detent flew. After much searching found the spring but no detent. Had to order the kit#078001001. What a PITA. Friday the 13th got me.

The "disassemble/reassemble in a plastic gallon bag" part often gets left off video's. Seems like often the authors are gun parts merchants. Could be though they are really careful and just don't loose tiny springy parts.

Always disassemble your micrometer click rear sight in a plastic bag!
Very Good Tip ....
Should be used where ever small spring loaded parts are involved .
I use the big gallon zip locks ...

Tip #2 ... Leave small parts in the bag ... easier to find if they get knocked off bench and onto floor. They don't roll under your bench and go into never-never land !
