About a year and a half ago I foolishly sold off this 629 for some stupid unknown reason. I had a great local smith perform a nice action job/trigger face polish but it was spending most of it's time in the safe. Soooo off it went.

Well I recently reached out to the buyer, expressed my deepest remorse over selling and he kindly offered it back to me. Just picked it up an hour ago and I'm thrilled. From January 1988, I'm one fortunate man and the seller is a real gentleman.

It must be great to have that gun back. Makes me think I have to hunt down the buyer of my 16" .44 Mag Winchester carbine I sold off. You will understand how much I miss that gun. :)

Hey, what bike?! We wouldn't mind photos of it either...:D

2014 Harley FXDF (in about a week or so I'll be doing the Stage 1 work on it-new pipes, aircleaner and super tuner):

Guy's don't sell a S&W! You'll be SORRY and only a few will be as lucky as this fella. I never have and never will...DON'T sell them...

Don't do it...they are precious.

Very nice bike! :)

If I can stop buying guns long enough to safe up the money I'm planning on getting a 883 as my first real bike. (done some riding on dirt bikes but not much.)

Sorry for the thread drift...:o Back to the regular program. :D

True story: My first wife told me back in 1973, (Dirty Harry era), "if you buy one more gun, especially another big 44 mag, I'm leaving!" Haven't seen her since 1974! Still have all my S&W's, especially a new Model 29, a 629, a model 19 C.M.(Nickel)....I sleep really good knowing my Smith collection is intact!!!

Thats really cool. I recently purchased a 629-5 at a local show..., paid an awesome price for a gun in such great working condition. I had a man almost immediately offer me 100 bucks over what I paid. I pulled out the gun case from my bag fully intending on selling, but I bit my lip and slid the case back in my bag and said I just couldn't see myself going home without it. Now I am so glad I kept it.
