629 classic integrated break?

This looks loud. Could be fun! Smith & Wesson factory ported some some classics but this does not look factory. At least I havn't seen one like it.

Definitely not a factory porting. Seems to me another member here bought a Model 657 with very similar porting. I doubt that porting which vents the gases sideways would do a whole lot for muzzle rise and muzzle rise is something that handgun shooters usually want to minimize. Side porting will certainly clear away anyone near you on the firing line at the range.

I friend of mine came across this 610 in a gunshop in Santa Fe in early 2021. The price is ludicrous, even had it been intact, as manufactured, the fact that Bubba had at it with a hacksaw and round file made it even more preposterous. I think I offered $400 for it with the thought of cutting and recrowning the barrel to make a nice 5" model 610. They turned me down - wonder how long they had it or if it ever sold.

$2600 for that?!! Oh, h-e-double toothpicks no! For that much you can buy a brand new Model 610, put a scope on it and have $1000 left for ammo.
