629 cylinder info?? Help Please!!! Anyone?

I have a 629-1 that needs the cylinder replaced. Can someone tell me which dash numbers had the same cylinder? when did the style change? I want to buy a cylinder to take to my gunsmith for fitting but don't want to buy the wrong one.

No expert but, 629 no dash is recessed. 629-1 is not recessed. From there forward they "may" be the same length but the front of the cylinder is more beveled on a 629-3.

Thanks for responding. I didn't know about the different bevel. That makes 5 different cylinders. Now I just need to know what dash numbers came with the other 3.
