I fool around with the dx models and ive seen one on gunbroker that I cant figure out. serial # bas0141, pc code 103616, special order number 8254 anyone have info on this gun. I think this a rebarreld hunter.

More info its a dash 1 square butt with magna grips.

I think it is someone's personal creation as the SCoSW lists the DX as being introduced in 1991 with the -3 revision and being discontinued in 2002 with the -6 revision. I have one of the 5" -3s that were only made in 1992 and 1993.

I think it's a rebarrel. -1's preceded the dx's by about ten yrs or so.

All the dx's I've seen said dx on the box.

I saw the same gun, Ed is right on this, also note the gun has metal stamped logo and markings since it is a 629-1 and the barrel is laser engraved so it is newer. 629-1's barrels are stamped or roll marked.
