629 Full Endurance Package

Is the endurance package only for the 629? I recently bought a well used (code for beat up) 6" Model 29-3 that needs a lot work both mechanically and cosmeticly that I am thinking about sending to S&W to have them do it.

Is the endurance package only for the 629? I recently bought a well used (code for beat up) 6" Model 29-3 that needs a lot work both mechanically and cosmeticly that I am thinking about sending to S&W to have them do it.

The endurance package started during the 29-3 run and they were marked with an E and this started in 1987 and was standard after that starting in the 29-4.
