Picked up a new 642 this week. I have been looking for a few months for a 642 or 442. These guns, like most these days are hard to come by. Glad I finally found one.

I like mine a lot.....I purchased it new a few years ago, no internal lock, about $330 then. It is accurate and lite....drop in your pocket or inside pants holster and enjoy your day!

That's about what I paid for my pre lock too.

Get a pocket holster and you'll forget it's in your pocket. When I was carrying mine the only problem was remembering to not put anything else in that pocket.

congrats on your new friend. no matter what i holster 9 times out of 10 my 642-1 is in my weak side pocket. with anything hotter than plain jane 158 lead round nose it is quite the hand full.

I’ve carried this one daily for 20 years. The Milt Sparks is my favorite pocket holster. Crimson Trace grips replaced the Spegels that I used to use. Knife goes in right hip pocket and is from Bob Dozier.

Blessed to find a 442 Performance Center cheap

Love that pistol. Always comes to the range with me. Always finish practice with 125gn +P. My carry load

A 442 is always in my pocket. In rotation with a couple others, a second one is often in my waist

EDC is my 642 loaded with HP. Like Karl Malden used to say, "Don't leave home without it."

My 642-1 has been my EDC for close to 7 years and it was my brother's
BUG for the 6 years prior.

I carry it with 129 gr .38 Special +P Hydra-Shok.

Congrats on your new Centennial !
I've hip carried a Model 12 snub or a Model 37 snub for years, have a pristine hammerless Model 042 that I stashed away in the safe many years ago and keep debating making it my primary CCW and selling off the other two but, the 042 is not a commonly encountered variation so maybe be kept pristine for some Centennial fan with that hole in the collection.....
have a Model 38-2 that could substitute but too is unfired and a bright nickel finish so just cant bring myself to beat that one up either....dilemmas...
