Hello... I need some assistance, I recently picked up a 66-1 2 1/2 in barrel snubby. On the crane stamped over the serial number is a S17 stamp. Would anybody have any knowledge of what this stamp means. Thank you in advance

You mean the Yoke?....S/N is on the gun butt only on a 66...that is likely an assembly # and means nothing to us...most meaningful numbers are under the grips....others with way more knowledge will be along , but I think I'm correct IMHO

Thanks for your reply... Yes sir I did mean the yoke where the model # is stamped.
