What do you consider a great deal? 
Very nice find, I just bought a 66-3 for a super price, just shipped it back to SW for a look over and get the timing fixed. Will post results and pictures when she finds her way back home.

I scored my Model 66-2 this past July at a local auction. It appears to of kicked around in a drawer or glove box for years but had very few round though it. The forcing cone looks immaculate.
I really like it and am sure you will to with yours. Here are some pics.

Yes, You did a little better at your auction.

I bought a 66-1 like yours for $600 a couple three weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
The bright lights and loud noises coming up behind you are due to you stealing that handgun!

I was lucky enough to find a "like new" 66-2 like yours for $600 a few weeks ago. They seem to be selling in the $700-$800 range on GB. A fine shooter and great for carry. You certainly scored a deal.
Are those Pachmayrs that you added? I also have a 686-6 4", and I like its original rubber grips. That led me to think about making a rubber grip addition to the 66-2, "preserving" the wood grips in the safe. Thanks for confirming that the rubber improves the grip.

yes, they are the k/l sized bantam grips.

Looks great. Black and silver are complimentary colors.
Replacing the wood with Hogue Bantams allowed me to use
heavier magnum loads without pain.
