Hey all,
Can anyone tell me how old this S&W 67-1 SN AHV3XXX
is? I thinking it might be older than I am but don't think it's been around quiet that long.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Can you confirm your 67 is a dash one? Your serial number may indicate it is a dash two or later. All the dash one guns I'm aware of were pinned and serial numbered in the "K" category. Just checkin'.:)

According to SCSW the DOB is around 1985,
My 67-1 is serial AHY 6291 and is also unpinned ,

The change to crush fitting barrels occurred during the Model 67 dash 1 production run and did not warrant a dash revision.
(Most blue K frames were in their dash 4 revision and the same changes are seen)

Note that the trademark also moved from the right side to the left side.

The Standard Catalog indicates that in 1982 S&W quit pinning the barrels of the 67-1 series but did not go to "-2" until 1988. So the early 67-1s were pinned while the later ones were not. The serial number looks like about 1985.

I learn something new here every day.... Thanks guys!:)

Serial number

I did a double check on the serial and the dash, both under the grips and inside at the back end of the barrel.... SN is AHV3XXX and under that it says 67-1. so yes I'm sure. Looks like a clean & tight 1985 model. Trademark is on the left side also.
Thanks for the info
